Quality of Life The “Specialty Care” unit is designed specifically to meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s Disease. Our philosophy is to maximize the potential of each resident to their fullest. As an affiliate of the Alzheimer’s Association of South Central Texas, we are proud to be a site for monthly Family Support Group meetings and the Alzheimer’s Lending Library. The Specialty Care Unit for the Memory Impaired at Eden Home Enhanced Well-Being Our secured unit provides: A closely supervised environment, allowing residents to move about freely Caring, well-trained staff, focused on the resident’s special needs A variety of meaningful activity programs designed to challenge mental and physical abilities Opportunities for successful interactions A consulting Geropsychiatrist Special dietary plans and meal-time assistance Safe, outdoor areas and patios
